Traditional Engagement of Miss BOLARIN BIOBAKU to Mr. OLUSHILE “MOE” OKUNOWO

Miss ZUBEIDAT BOLARIN BIOBAKU got engaged, in a traditional ceremony, to Mr. OLUSHILE MODUPELOWOLUWA OKUNOWO, at the Banquet Hall of LAGOON RESTAURANT, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos … on Saturday, June 4th., 2011. The “Bride’s Party” followed after the engagement rituals. Music was provided by popular musicians SINA PETERS and AYO BALOGUN  (and their bands).

FUNKE BUCKNOR-OBRUTHE’S company, ZAPPHAIRE EVENTS, planned the engagement ceremony and party.

The Church wedding will take place at the Cathedral Church of Christ, The Marina, Lagos, on Saturday, June 11th., 2011.

The bride-to-be holds a B.Sc degree in Commerce and an M.Sc degree in Management Information Systems from the London School of Economics. She later studied Accountancy and works as an Investment Banker with STANBIC IBTC Bank Plc. She is the daughter  of  Chief  BISADE BIOBAKU,  (a Chartered Civil Engineer and the Are-Onibon of Gbagura, Abeokuta; and his wife, Chief  ABIMBOLA  O. BIOBAKU, nee DEBAYO-DOHERTY, a Chartered Accountant (Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria).

The groom-t0-be, a businessman, who is affectionately called “MOE”, holds a B.A. degree (Economics and Information Systems), from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in the United States of America … and,  an M.A. degree (International Relations), from the University of Richmond, in the United Kingdom. He is the son Chief BUKOLA OKUNOWO, a businessman, an evangelist and a former Chairperson of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); and his wife, Mrs. KEHINDE OKUNOWO, nee FASHEUN, an Educationist and a part-time home engineer.

    Big thanks to you Mr Cole for the pictorial story of this event. Helped some of us who couldn't make it to the event to feel we were there virtually. Started seeing your shots in newspapers in the '70s. Am surprised you are still active and even flowing with the modern trend. May God keep you alive and healthy to continue churning out more great shots.
