The former Miss ZUBEIDAT BOLARIN BIOBAKU got married to Mr. OLUSHILE “MOE” OKUNOWO, on Saturday, June 11th., 2011. The Solemnization of Holy Matrimony took place at the Cathedral Church of Christ, The Marina, Lagos. Ten Bishops of the (including The Most Reverend (Dr.) PETER JASPER AKINOLA, the immediate past-Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), who joined the couple in Holy Matrimony.
Reception was held in a KFA mobile air-conditioned marquee, erected in the main bowl of Tafawa-Balewa Square, (TBS), Onikan, Lagos.
The bride holds a B.Sc degree in Commerce and an M.Sc degree in Management Information Systems from the London School of Economics. She later studied Accountancy and works as an Investment Banker with STANBIC IBTC Bank Plc. She is the daughter of Chief BISADE BIOBAKU (a Chartered Civil Engineer and the Are-Onibon of Gbagura, Abeokuta), the only child of the late famous historian Professor SABURI OLADENI BIOBAKU, Secretary to the now defunct Government of Western Nigeria and later, Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Lagos (and his wife, the late FOLASADE BIOBAKU, nee AGUSTO, a Pharmacist and Educationist … founder of IYANIWURA SCHOOL, the first school in Ilupeju, Lagos, now BASIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.
The bride’s mother, Chief (Mrs.) ABIMBOLA O. BIOBAKU, nee DEBAYO-DOHERTY, a Chartered Accountant (Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria). She is the grand daughter of the engineer, politician, nationalist and avid classical musician HERBERT MACAULAY, C.E. Abimbola Biobaku is the great, great, grand daughter of Africa’s first Bishop of the Anglican Church, The Right Reverend SAMUEL AJAI CROWTHER.
The groom, a businessman, who is fondly called “MOE”, holds a B.A. degree (Economics and Information Systems), from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in the United States of America … and, an M.A. degree (International Relations), from the University of Richmond, in the United Kingdom. He is the son Chief BUKOLA OKUNOWO, a businessman, an evangelist and a former Chairperson of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). Bukola Okunowo’s father, Chief EMMANUEL OKUSANYA OKUNOWO, a wealthy merchant noted for popularizing DAMASK clothing material (his wife, ADEBANKE, was also successful businesswoman).
The groom’s mother, Mrs. KEHINDE OKUNOWO, nee FASHEUN, is an Educationist. She is the founder of KAYS SCHOOLS (nursery, primary and secondary), Surulere, Lagos. She is a part-time home engineer.
YEWANDE ZACCHAUES’S EVENTFUL co-ordinated the ceremonies.
Music was provided by EBENEZER OBE, DEMOLA OLOTA and DR. SID.
The five-tier wedding cake was made by FUNSHO TAIWO, founder of FLEST CELEBRATION CAKES.
The popular comedian TEJU BABA-FACE was the Master of Ceremonies.

why are all the pictures of olderrrrrrrrrrrr people, there were many young people at the wedding, which i attended.
Check out pages 63 to 81. We do not practice "AGEISM". There were over 1,000 people in church and about two thousand people at the reception. The "YOUNG PEOPLE" were a small minority.
Parents of the newly-weds invited most of the people … their friends and relatives.

suggestion: get a new way of viewing photos. do it like bella naija does it. upload it all the the page of the story so people can scroll down to look. the changing of picture pages reloads the whole page…
Dear Mr Smart-Cole,
You really must update the underlying software codes (or whatever it is!) for viewing the pictures. Having to reload the whole page and scroll down makes the viewing experience very tedious, and the slideshow doesn’t work.
I’m sure there are new ways of doing things. Let your web manager find out what other picture-content websites are doing to be cutting edge. Frankly, your website tires me out with the scrolling. It’s a pity cos you do take lovely pictures.
